My Experience as a Family Constellations’ Facilitator

I feel deeply honored each time I take a client for a Family Constellation’s therapy.   This therapy is such a special work of the heart and soul as I view the client as a child of their mother and father, regardless of their age.  In the session, I imagine the child and all their ancestors behind them and when this happens, I feel that I become part of the client’s family system. Thus, as the last one to join the system, I bow down to everyone’s fate with utmost respect but also cautiously not taking anything from their fates for myself as that creates disorder.

The knowing field, which some consider as the family system’s nervous system, opens up and shows what needs to be seen, heard, acknowledged and respected.  I feel that I can facilitate effectively only to the extent of which I have worked on my own woundings, which means my heart is wide open and in acceptance of every member of the system.  I look for those members who have been excluded, either consciously or not, and  I attempt to bring them back to their rightful place in the system.  Oftentimes, the clients need more time to be in acceptance.

I have seen in my earlier constellations a client’s issues which have affected me even days after the session because something got triggered in me.   I only need to acknowledge it as needing to be seen in my own system; I then heal and integrate that part of me.  This experience becomes part of my soul expansion.

It has been believed by the founder and the majority of all facilitators that everyone who participates in the Family Constellations in a group setting (either as a client who brings their issue to be constellated, a representative who assumes the role of a system member, or an observer who just witnesses the session) will resonate and something in them starts healing or gets healed instantly.  I, the facilitator, also receive healing. I get to process and integrate the healing after every session.

The beauty of Family Constellations is that when we end the constellation, out of respect to the knowing field and healing of the client, each one vows to not to talk about anything relating to the client’s story as this steals the energy of healing from the client and from ourselves too as a facilitator, representative, or observer.

I envision the clients at their highest and fullest potential, heart open and ready to heal;  which in Family Constellations mean ready to accept what is and what was.  I too must be, first and foremost, in acceptance of what is and what was.

At the end of every session, I see to it that there is restoration of peace and balance; that love is returning to the client and every member who came up in the constellations.   I have faith that the seed of healing has already been planted and it will continue to grow.

I am truly blessed to take on this path to facilitate the return of love in each system, most especially the return of love in the hearts of my clients.

I full heartedly advise everyone to have an opportunity to experience this beautiful therapy modality which invokes both the heart and soul movement.
