Becoming more soul-conscious doesn’t mean you stop being triggered by the small things. You will still feel them. I do too.
The difference lies in awareness. Most of the time, I can sense when my ego reacts from a place of unresolved pain. And in those moments, I am given a choice: to lean into the trigger and understand it or to remain caught in its hold.
Recently, on a flight, I walked to my seat only to find someone else sitting in it. Instantly, a surge of emotions flooded me annoyance, irritation, even a sense of being wronged. My right eyebrow went up as I sternly told her she wasn’t in her place.
Instead of moving immediately, she questioned if it was indeed my seat. I felt heat rise inside me, along with a pang of self-doubt. For a moment, I questioned myself.
Later, as I reflected on this, I realized that moment mirrored a belief buried deep within me: What is mine might be taken by others.”
I’ve noticed this pattern before. Recently, I saw it resurface when a former participant of a workshop I facilitated asked another facilitator for her contact details—right in front of me. Logically, I know people are free to resonate with whomever they feel drawn to. Yet inside, I felt triggered—a sudden and unexpected pang of insecurity.
These moments reminded me of something profound: Triggers are sacred teachers. They come to guide us, to reveal the stories and wounds we carry, and to lead us toward deeper healing.
But there’s more. Triggers often carry whispers from our lineage—patterns and beliefs inherited from generations before us. When I reflected deeper, I realized that this trigger might be linked to ancestral wounds—perhaps a loyalty to ancestors who endured loss or scarcity. By acknowledging and healing these triggers, we also free our lineage from repeating these patterns.
What about you?
When was the last time you felt deeply triggered? What did it stir within you? Pause and reflect: What is this situation trying to show me about myself and my family’s story?
If you feel ready to go deeper, to explore the roots of your triggers and the stories they hold, I am here to support you. You don’t have to do this alone.
Through Hypnotherapy, Family Constellations Therapy, Energy/Reiki Healing, Breathwork, and Theta Healing, I guide you to uncover not only your personal wounds but also the ancestral patterns that shape your life. Together, we will transform these energies into healing, freedom, and empowerment.
